Ravenous Trivia coming as a Flash Game

Ravenous Games is currently working on porting their trivia game over to Flash so that you can play it on Facebook. Keep your eyes and ears open for updates. In the meantime be sure to head over to the iTunes store and grab a copy for your iPhone or iPod touch!

Ravenous Trivia HD got a review by Cristi over at PadGadget.com! My favorite part was when she said:
Many of the questions are Canadian specific, but my husband and I nevertheless enjoyed competing against each other one night to see which one of us could get the highest score.
While we don’t think the questions are Canadian specific, the competition element does not surprise us. We’ve seen this from day one! Someone will play it, then pass it to a friend to try and top their score. Who doesn’t love them some friendly competition?

Ravenous Trivia HD Action Shots on iPad

A fellow Cocos2D developer, Aaron Visser, has sent in some action shots of Ravenous Trivia being played on his iPad! Lucky guy went down to the States to get an iPad since they’re not available in Canada. I’m hoping to see it running on a real device soon. Anyone who is capable of taking a video of Ravenous Trivia HD running on the device, contact us and we’ll provide a promo code for a free copy of the game.

iPad Launch Day

Ravenous Trivia HD was one of the approximately 562 game titles available for the iPad launch. According to GamerTell.com, “as of 4 p.m., ET, April 2, 2010, this list contains 563 titles”. Seems like some of the biggest titles were Scrabble, Real Racing HD, Flight Control HD and Mirror’s Edge.
Ravenous Trivia HD Approved for iPad Launch!

Ravenous Trivia has officially been approved for the iPad App Store Launch on April 3, 2010. We are very excited to be launch title for an exciting new device and will be posting some development notes about the process of porting our game from iPhone to iPad in the next coming weeks.

Ravenous Trivia HD

Ravenous Trivia HD has been submitted for Apple’s approval and is in review. We’re hoping that it will be available for the April 3, iPad Store launch.
All the code has been modified to work with the higher resolution and all the art has been converted to vector art for scaling without distortion between the platforms. I have documented the process over the last week and will post an article covering the 5 day process of upgrading for iPad once the NDA has been lifted!
PowerMage54 New Status Icons

Corey has updated the graphics for the drop down status bar. This bar slides down to show all the player stats including their name, health and number of cards.
Also updated is the help button. This toggles the info HUD in the middle of the screen on and off at any time during the game.
All in all, the new icons look awesome and I can wait to implement them into the prototype.
